But also, feel free to ignore this and just go with my requested tags to the most indulgent hilt. Several of these requests might come across ridiculous or weird: nothing could be better. As long as the end result doesn't use things on my DNW list I'll be happy. (There are also some exceptions to my DNWs - they're listed at the fandoms where they apply.) I expand on some of my tags but not on others, but that is no indication of preference for one tag over another because I'm into every last one.

Marvel Cinematic Universe (fic)

Meredith Quill - There's just enough to make me love her, and also want her to have adventures, whether in space or on Earth. (Feel free to bring in characters or events in the MCU outside the GOTG franchise.) I'm interested in the mundane for her too, simply because raising a kid out of wedlock in smalltown Missouri in the 70s/80s sounds tough. And, of course, interested in Meredith + music. What would her personal soundtrack for an afterlife breakout, werewolf transformation, or [etc.] be?
Relationships I'd be into: & Peter, & or / Yondu, & Skrulls, /Jane Foster's mum for bonus "ridiculously rare pair of background characters" points, & Grandpa Quill, & Guardians.

Peter Quill - That intro first showing sweet kid Peter Quill being kidnapped by aliens, and then cutting to "26 years later..." Pretty much that is when I was done for. It calls to me, that huge gap and all that could have happened, what changed about Peter and what he refused to change or couldn't change. I also like that he and the rest of the Guardians are still busy figuring out the balance between heroism and criminality.
Relationships I'd be into: & or / Gamora, & or / Drax, & Rocket, /Gamora/Drax, /Jane Foster, /Bucky Barnes, / or & Stephen Strange, & or / Yondu, & Ravagers (on his ship, the original crew that ran with Yondu), & or / OCs.

Ava Starr/Janet Van Dyne - Janet laying hands on Ava and allaying her agonies was that kind of scene that stays with me. I'd love to see them getting used to their more normal circumstances together, sharing their bizarre pasts, indulging in getting rid of their touch starvation... Also maybe there are still random "quantum energy" type powers for them to deal with?
Hank/Janet can be broken up, or have an open relationship, or not be mentioned.

Nick Fury/Natasha Romanov - Clint is the one who took Natasha to SHIELD, but surely Fury played a large role in accepting and integrating her. I'd love a sense of that history. IM2 made me feel like Fury was much like a handler to Natasha and they both were comfortable and felt warmth along with that, but CA:TWS felt like it had a more personal connection. I'd love to see how any part of that worked - the trust growing between them and/or the way this highly specialised work of theirs intersected with the personal.
Also ever since Captain Marvel, I've been loving the idea of Goose in the background of SHIELD doings of all sorts. If Natasha gets the chance to express an opinion about Goose at any point that would be great.

- If Ava/Janet, either of them having had a clone baby is good. It would be way easier with Ava and could tap into her issues with losing her parents young, but with Janet could be really cool too.

Mirrorverse - Evil mirrorverse crossover but the evil versions adore the good ones
Mirror Universe

- The AU where everyone is a little or a lot more evil. Mirrorverse has some exceptions to my DNWs; I am fine with torture and rape here. I've enjoyed many versions, running the gamut from mildly worse to cartoonishly evil to serious psychological horror, so anything works.
- Sometimes I think fondly of a mirrorverse relationship for Meredith & Peter, where she called him Star-Lord because she sincerely wanted her beloved baby boy to rule the cosmos. A take on that could be cool.

Spirited Away (art, fic)

I've only seen the dub, so I'd prefer those names being used.

Kaonashi/Ogino Chihiro - No-Face connected with Chihiro so quickly and with such wild attachment, even when having gone full monster, that it intrigues me. I don't really need a reason for it, but would just like to see more of that attachment. Chihiro responds to No-Face more in the manner of knowing she has a responsibility to take care of the danger, and then that she is able to help further and decides to do so, but it would be cool if she gets to know No-Face as something more like a person. Of if No-Face isn't quite that, then more of the power/mythology/physical landscape (like how Haku is a river god) that made it what it is.

No-Face - This character makes me so curious about what constitutes a monster in this worldscape. What kind of rules surround the difference between monster and spirit? Does it know any others? And the plainest/default version of No-Face wasn't malicious; what is its self-perception of what it "really" is? Or I would just love it being super cute in a spooky way, cuz I think it is super cute.

Art-wise I'd really love a pretty pastel type colour scheme. My visual impression of the movie involves lots of softer colours.


DNW notes: If No-Face relapses on eating sapient beings it's fine, so long as they re-emerge no trouble like in canon.

- This is basically me chanting "backstory, backstory". How they got to know each other, first impressions perhaps getting upended, the first moment of a closer connection acknowledged... I'm especially intrigued because with Darcy's temperament especially an acquaintance can be hard to turn into something deeper. And what about the way their relationship fits with their place in society, and any more practical aspects to it?

- So there was this part in the book:

On the strength of Darcy's regard, Bingley had the firmest reliance, and of his judgement the highest opinion. In understanding, Darcy was the superior. Bingley was by no means deficient, but Darcy was clever. He was at the same time haughty, reserved, and fastidious, and his manners, though well-bred, were not inviting. In that respect his friend had greatly the advantage. Bingley was sure of being liked wherever he appeared, Darcy was continually giving offense.

and I started and kept on thinking "moirails". Complementary in their personalities and easing each other's roles in society sums up a good chunk of what I think about moirallegiance, so I want the version where P&P style social and romantic drama is centred around Bingley and Darcy and this different kind of relationship. They can be humans or it can be a troll AU. If they're humans, I require no explanation for why quadrants exist if you don't want to give them.

Young Wizards - Ed'rashtekaresket/Nita Callahan (fic)

With that line about "you, young and never loving - I, old and never loved" I feel like Ed went there. And I loved it.

That dangerous, limited-by-nature, strange and difficult connection he and Nita had to form is fascinating and I would love something that gives it a little more time, or allows for more depth of feeling. This can take place during their canon time together, post-canon, or an AU plot. It is totally fine if this doesn't follow the usual romantic beats, happily ever after together or kisses or whatever - the book plot and the whole rest of the worldbuilding and characters' set-up is stacked against it. But if Ed Goes There again or Nita Goes There for a moment or more: Perfect.

- A new and different wacky aspect of the ritual in Deep Wizardry? Magic shark baby starts following Nita as best it can and she has to go chat to Ed about it in Timeheart?

Resurrection - Fought a way out of afterlife for loved one's sake

- I would actually prefer if this is not a permanent resurrection. It feels like it would run counter to the feeling of the book. But some temporary feral protection for Nita and/or her cause's sake would be amazing.

Crossover - Bucky Barnes (MCU)/Venom (Venom movie 2018) (art, fic)

Venom gets a could-be noble and yet morally-razed powerhouse to bond with! Bucky gets an uncontrollable power ... that is OK with being controlled by him in particular, and sets him free in ways he couldn't have hoped for! Match made in gory retribution heaven.

I also like this as being a somewhat imperfect bond. For one thing, the closer Bucky gets to normal the more eating people would not work for him. And for all his excellent qualities, he's not Eddie, so Venom might not find that quick connection as in the movie. Also, body horror opportunities with Bucky healing fast enough that Venom can snack on him constantly. But I do really like the weird alien-assassin bond that could develop and there's still a lot for them to appreciate about each other. And the question of a once-lady's man like Bucky figuring out how to be romantic with Venom, of all people.

Artwise, slavering and blobular Venom is great. Also any amount of teeth! tongue! eyes! Visual representation of the hideous screechy yells! Terrifying, adorable, or a mix of those would be great. With Bucky, if really going for iddy bingo, it would be nice to see the metal arm. Their hybrid design would also be great to see. Maybe Venom could partially manifest as a mask like the Winter Soldier wore in TWS?


DNW notes: No, please, let Venom/Bucky/their unholy hybrid self eat some evil sapient people if that sounds interesting to you.
General note: I prefer "he", "it", or "they" for Venom's pronouns.

They're both already at pretty extreme places so shifting THAT up to another gear could get wild.

- Even better when it's with someone you share a body with!! ...eventually requited is good though.

A Song of Ice and Fire - Sandor Clegane/Sansa Stark (art, fic)

I love it when a bad idea works out. The sense of the way these two grew and could grow together, in moments here and there and with a certain sense of the Hound kicking and screaming against it, is great that way. As much as they feel a connection with each other they are also very aware of everything about their own natures, each other, and the rest of the world that works against it, and I love seeing how they reach a point of togetherness anyway. (Or don't, re:the Unrequited tags.)

For art, use of any canon sigils and symbols that fit is lovely. Use of colour would be nice because the blaze of red hair for Sansa is always great. And don't be afraid to give Sandor a fucked-up face.

About the age difference: I'm fine with the canon one or with Sansa being aged up or the issue being glossed over. The canon version adds another level of 'interestingly messed up' for me, but on the other hand, I would prefer to avoid descriptions of how hot Sandor finds preteen/early teens Sansa because that is not for me. The fanwork going into the feeling of a connection? Sure thing. "Almost a woman" and all that? I'd rather not.


DNW notes: mention of rape is fine, whether ones that happened in canon or discussion of what might happen, but I don't want rape happening on-screen or as a focus of the fanwork. Depending on the timeline Sansa might be married to Tyrion, but I don't mind if there's infidelity regarding that since it's a weird situation anyway.

Crossover: Character(s) from another fandom on an adventure in the Buffyverse

- I would LOVE for Sansa to get some Potential powers, but if they're just trying to make their way through all the demons or figure out what the hell people are trying to say to them, that would be great too. I'm cool with any part of the Buffy and Angel timelines on the TV shows.

Homestuck (fic)

The Dolorosa/Grand Highblood - Any quadrant would be great. (If ashen, maybe with Redglare?) I the thought of how their archetypes and aesthetics go together. The whole chaos vs elegance, devil-preacherman vs prophet-rebel apostle thing. Some rainbow drinker Dolorosa wrecking GHB one way or the other is also a treat. I'm down for canonverse or any AU, though I'd prefer it not to be in a dreambubble setting. Also, as of Friendsim, GHB seems genially horny and that might be a nice kind of chill for an incarnation of Porrim to encounter? Like, at last, someone to bang wildly with without much fuss, and possibly to be generally decadent with.

Nepeta Leijon/Equius Zahhak - pale, please. Their relationship has a sense of progression, from Equius being highly overbearing and Nepeta bowing to it, yet spending a ton of time together in the Game, eventually having a way more mutual and sweet dynamic by the point of [S] Seek the Highblood, and all topped off with a bizarre yet heartfelt reunion as sprites/^2. They get the ~meant for each other~ treatment but also grow with each other, which I love, and I'd be into seeing them at any point in the relationship.

Aradia/Vriska - I prefer them caliginous, please. I also have a fondness for them clashing as the only gods around, whether as god tier trolls or in a fantasy AU or something similar, if that can be made to fit with the other tags. But it's great when they have epic clashes that set the stars ablaze, or if it's a more personal thing where they're all twisted up in each other with friendship and revenge, adventure and guilt.

Doc Scratch & Eldritchfuck Roseworld But Nice Harem - What if that shitheel suffered :D. I really like the aspect of the But Nice version where the harem eventually works together to get Scratch out of the alpha kids' lives once and for all, maybe take revenge, possibly free his harem to boot. I'd also love something where Scratch bothers any one of or all of the alpha kids and they find solace in the arms of the rest of the Egbert-Lalonde harem.

Gamzee Makara/Karkat Vantas - Pale or red, please. What I would appreciate is a shot in the arm of classic Gamkar where, essentially, they like each other. Pre-retcon and pre-Game Over style. This can be canon divergence or a setting-change AU or involve time travel or whatever, as long as it results in more things along the lines of mutual faith in each other, spectacular cuddling, hard-won trust, and shady doings getting confronted. I'm also a huge fan of times when Gamzee's brain is like swiss cheese due to influences from sopor slime, Lil Cal, and a good dollop of Aranea, so mind control stuff for him would be nice. Alternian Rebellion AU with Karkat luring Gamzee away from the dark side is also so good.


DNW notes: Gamzee is an exception for "addiction issues". Feel free to go into his sopor slime thing. But the Lalondes' alcohol abuse, for example, I'd really rather not have. He's also an exception to the focus on torture DNW. Ever since Caliborn shot him to pieces and he smiled peacably about it I was all for him getting brutalised as long as he's fine in the end, and possibly during.
References to, focus on, and aftermath of rape and torture is also entirely welcome with Eldritchfuck Roseworld and EFRW - Ancestors Branch.

- Not really the kind of things the villains in HS get up to, but this could make for a really cool AU version of dealing with alternate selves or dancestors. A superhero AU could work. Alternately, for more of a canon-ish feel, this could involve the canon characters feeling fundamentally like it's right to be lab-grown and it's weirdly nice be around these kids rather than naturally-grown kids. (United by a lack of bellybuttons!)

Pale Romance | Moirallegiance - Porn Industry

- Porn stars meeting on set and finding something real, moirails watching porn together (maybe with some humans providing colour commentary), a kind of meta story where the plot of the fic is essentially what Alternian pale porn would be...

Some things I like: bathing together, dramatic pappings, xeno physical details related to moirallegiance, pale at first sight (without necessarily making the relationship easy or perfect from the start), moirails defending each other from outside threats whether physical or social.

- Generally I like a supernatural kind of monster, but if the Grand Highblood is involved, he can remain the "mass murder, evil cult" type of monster.

It can be canon instances of mind control or an AU version (Winter Soldier AU Equius/Nepeta time?), and I was thinking of "high pressure circumstances" as like, someone's shooting at the recovering character that second, or possibly they are busy shooting at someone else.

Avatar: The Last Airbender - Jet (art, fic)

Jet died (well, probably) at the right moment for it to drive me nuts. It's part wanting better things for the character after his life sucked real hard up to the moment of death, part wanting to see how he could have made things better or worse for himself (and others) with the way Ba Sing Se represented him needing to make a big change but not yet getting there. He can be cruel and manipulative, he can be kind and welcoming, and I want to see so many takes of what he could have become in the future or under AU circumstances. Or to just explore the interplay of his manipulative and caring sides.

Relationships I'd be into: I'm especially fond of Jet & Smellerbee & Longshot, Freedom Fighters & Jet in general, Aang & Jet, and Zuko & or / Jet, Yue/Jet, but he can interact with literally anyone you think he'd spark with and I'm here for it. Romances, I'd prefer people around his age (aged-up younger characters like Aang are fine too). Platonically it would be cool if he could hang with Hama or Jeong Jeong, however that would happen. But seriously, anyone.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters (art, fic)

Black Magician Girl/Dark Necrofear - This art was the first time I thought of the ship but it really works for me. Cute and creepy, a great combination! I also love explorations of how ka, Duel Monsters, and human beings overlap and intersect, as well as the normal world and the Shadow Realm/world of darkness. The Magician Girl can be Mana, or can be a totally different card spirit. I like to think (Bakura's) Dark Necrofear was originally a soul from Kul Elna (and her Dark Santuary move is a representation of Kul Elna), which could bounce off Mana's incarnation of BMG interestingly, but anything is fine.
And uh, please include Necrofear's doll baby to some extent, even if it's being handed off to another card monster for babysitting, otherwise I'll keep wondering what happened to it.

Bakura Ryou & Dark Necrofear - As mentioned above, I like to think (Bakura's) Dark Necrofear was originally a soul from Kul Elna (and her Dark Santuary move is a representation of Kul Elna). I'd love it if she responded to Bakura in light of his being a descendant of the Thief King, or the host of the Thief King-Zorc amalgam. Otherwise or in addition, I'd really like a character exploration via card game mechanics, as one does. Is Dark Necrofear part of Bakura's deck, or the spirit's? Do they play each other's deck, and how do they relate to the monsters in it? How does Dark Necrofear react to Bakura, whether he's her player or a substitute?

Bakura Amane & Bakura Ryou - It's stunning to me that Bakura writes to his sister in the manga one time, and then at some other point Kazuki Takahashi drops the titbit in an infobook that his letters "reach Amane in heaven". At first it looks like a quite sweet sibling thing, then with that background it becomes something with a ton of potential for woobieness or creepiness. Which is pretty much what I would like here. Mostly a sweet relationship between them, but with some stranger elements introduced by magic, monsters, or however it was that Amane died.
In case of art - I headcanon Amane with dark blue hair (based off a single screenshot I remember of Dad Bakura where it looked like his hair was that colour. But still.).

Honda Hiroto & Jounouchi Katsuya - I like the way these two's friendship has come through thick and thin. From being bullies and jerks but still sticking to being much better than some of the people around them, to living frankly bizarre lives with aplomb and mutual support. The manga scene where Honda cries about possibly losing Jounouchi to Hirutani's influence gets to me. So I'd love to see more of the difficult elements between them, past and/or present, and the times they show their squishier feelings about each other.

Thief King Bakura/Kisara - Once, I saw art of the Thief King bowing before Kisara while she was lit up like a deity, and never recovered. Shipped it from that instant on. Basically I love that the potential of giant gods inhabiting them could bring these two outcasts together. There are possibilities of fluff where they build something genuine, or possibilities of complete dysfunction as Kisara is desperate to be wanted and Bakura is desperate to make use of the dragon's destructive power, and all the gorgeous grotesqueries of shadows & light and monsters and character designs I really like. And actually, Bakura getting worshipful of Kisara and her dragon would be great? It's probably not something she could respond to in a divine manner but maybe her inner Blue-Eyes loves it.


DNW notes: Extra DNW for movie canon - I haven't seen any of them.

General notes: I'm familiar with English dub, manga, and sub, and am fine with whatever mix of those canons you might like. Not as familiar with the Toei sub, but incorporating elements from that still works for me.
I'd really like if Bakura is called that by his friends, since it reads oddly to me when they say "Ryou" as it contrasts with canon.

- I like the horror potential that can be mined from the different methods besides a bite transferring the curse. Some that could have potential: enchanted furs, violent death, innate violence in a person, doing a ritual to become one (if this can be made in-character). Feel free to come up with something of your own or go with folklore I haven't mentioned!

- This vibes with early arcs of YGO for me. In fact there was that one time when Ammit was slavering over a bad guy in the museum/Shadi introduction arc in the manga...
- But also maybe Thief King Bakura would have been happier if he or Kisara's ka could have eaten Akhnaden. (Who is a character I like, but. He would have it coming.)
- I can't see Honda or Jounouchi doing this themselves but it would be pure gold to get their POV on it happening with some of their more magical pals involved.

- I'm not drawing a line between possession or mind control, and would be into the canon relationships with some of the dark spirits (Dark Bakura, Zorc) being spun as either.

Mind Control - Recovery while in high pressure circumstances

- I was thinking of "high pressure circumstances" as like, someone's shooting at the recovering character that second, or possibly they are busy shooting at someone else. Or monsters are attacking, depending.

Mirror Universe

- The AU where everyone is a little or a lot more evil. Mirrorverse has some exceptions to my DNWs; I am fine with torture and rape here. I've enjoyed many versions, running the gamut from mildly worse to cartoonishly evil to serious psychological horror, so anything works.
