Getting Together

General things I like for this canon: Wacky gonzo OTT-ness, the sense of the mythic and dreamlike, anything with the restoration of greenery, playing with names/titles (since the characters have names that could have as much to do with how the community perceives them as with birth names, or could be titles that they chose themselves), AUs where they decide to ride out across the salt flats instead of going back to Citadel and come across very strange things.

Don't include: rape as a major focus or central plot point (backstory references and exploration of the long-term aftermath are fine), relentless angst, dom/sub, major focus/central plot based on on people-eating (this goes for eating of any sapient species), fisting, addiction, zombies, homophobia, spanking, serial killers, infidelity, steampunk, bloodplay, hopelessly unhappy endings, Vuvalini culture involving exiling/killing sons.

Angharad/Max
Angharad is fiery and idealistic and Max is reticent and cynical, but they're both baseline good people and could bring each other balance. Plus that thumbs-up/smile moment was cute. I want them to have a chance to properly get to know each other, to see what they could have taught each other, and for them to be quiet and peaceful and helpful together, and do wild and dangerous things when necessary.

Prompts:
- Angharad is a selkie. Has she had a Joe in her life; does he already have her skin? Is there no Joe, but all humans, including Max, are assumed to be about that bad? Is Max a different kind of supernatural or an ordinary human? Are her sisters about, does she need to get back to them or save one/all of them?
- Probably 5k of sorting out touch issues and then cuddling is a tall order, but I'd be here for it. Especially with lots of touch issues from Max, who'd been alone so long, while Angharad is fine with platonic touch due to spending so much time with her sisters. But then going into issues with sexual touch with her would totally work for me.
- I'd also be here for desperate, cathartic self-reclaiming sex that results in basically no issues at all (whether for 5k or as part of a different plot).
- Royalty or fantasy AU with Queen Angharad and knight or soldier Max. Maybe he belongs to her country, maybe from a neighbouring one, maybe they're on opposite sides. Is she trying to create revolution in her own country? Is this supposed to be a kidnapping?
- Dealing with their ambivalence about Angharad's kid with Joe. I'd like Max ending up taking a chance with helping to take care of the kid, but I'm easy with any decision from Angharad: it's too much to handle, motherhood is just not for her, or deciding to be part of the baby's life to help make sure our babies will not be warlords, etc.
- Post-movie, terrifying revenant Angharad hangs out with Max (is she real or not?). I'd prefer she doesn't join the ranks of the dead who blame him for everything, but I don't mind if Max spends some time not actually noticing that she doesn't.
- Mutant AU, in-canon or more like an X-Men type thing. I swear Max's blood has mutant healing/regenerating properties.
- Angharad lives and is recaptured by Joe, but the escapees want to rescue her. Or they only find out by the end of the events of the movie, cue hurt/comfort? Or Angharad doesn't fall; how do they escape Joe without the delay brought on by her death?

The Dag/Cheedo
I adore how Cheedo and the Dag are constantly at each other's sides. It looks like they share a single pair of gloves, which, omg, adorable. They have an air of intense support and an almost desperation to be together in the way they share personal space, and I want more of that, please. The Dag seems like she could have a somewhat nervous personality, being singled out as a weirdo via her name, her spending a lot of time curled into herself, and with the way she's chewing her fingernails as the lift ascends at the end of the movie, so I'd prefer that it's not only Cheedo as "the fragile" one who needs support.

PS: I don't have much in the way of headcanons about the Dag's baby, so feel free to do what you want there if that comes up in the course of the story.

Prompts:
- The Dag has magic powers (I would quite like if she had visions, but anything goes). Cheedo seems a practical sort; would she believe in these powers? Or maybe she's the only one who does and tries to convince the others to listen to the Dag.
- Sharing clothes aside from that glove, despite having very different tastes. Would be nice for modern AU but I like how the Dag went for a maximum witchy look when getting some Vuvalini fashion while Cheedo's choices were more ordinary, so it would work for canon setting, too.
- The Dag is a captured outsider who gets assessed as a feral (keep muzzled! She bit Nux when he first broke into the War Rig, after all). Joe tries to get his current wives to tame her, possibly after or in-between using her as a blood bag, and she and Cheedo bond.
- Politicking with outsiders like Rock Riders, Buzzards, Sky Fishers from the swamp, Gas Town and the Bullet Farm, or OC groups; I'd love it if they had to act as spies. Cheedo getting tricky with Rictus at the end made me think she could keep doing that kind of thing.
- AU with witch-queen Dag going to negotiate with fairy queen Cheedo, or something along those lines. Does one think the other is evil? Is one a little evil (or under a curse) but gets brought around by the power of love?
- So I like the intense closeness ... but I'd also be into their behaviour changing drastically in the aftermath of the movie, because there's room for them to do anything now, possibly reunite with surviving family among the Wretched and meet lots of new people, and there's an angsty dramatic break-up. Then a loving and dramatic getting back together, later.
- Also I would appreciate a passionate makeout or so, that background kiss in the movie went by all too fast.

Vuvalini & War Boys
They're symbolic and ideological opposites but due to circumstances have all lived cutthroat lives. I'd like to see where they get along, moments of empathy/sympathy, and how they manage friction. Plus I bet they're great at fighting outside problems together. And I'd really like some of the Vuvalini way of life to rub off on them (and maybe Citadel culture in general, including with the Wretched and Milking Mothers). Feel free to have more of the Vuvalini live and come wandering in from the desert. Others in Fury Road have walked off equally painful things! For keeping War Boys alive longer than canon indicates is likely (quite aside from the various explosions), you could make it so their living conditions caused at least some of them to be sick rather than only radiation. I've seen tuberculosis named as something that could account for Nux's symptoms and that could be recovered from.

Prompts:
- Post-movie, the War Boys are killing themselves to go to Valhalla at an alarming rate. And possibly killing the ones who don't want to kill themselves for glory. How would the Vuvalini react?
- Ageswap AU with young Vuvalini and a bunch of haggard old War Boys. Are the Vuvalini a scouting party from a long-standing, thriving settlement? Have the War Boys outlived Joe, and perhaps his sons too?
- The Valkyrie is an actual Valkyrie, or becomes one, and escorts some War Boys post-death. To Joe's version of Valhalla (as vengeance?), a more traditional kind of Valhalla, somewhere else? Or, the Valkyrie lives and her name makes some War Boys think she's a mythical being.
- Some of the War Boys probably weren't sold on Joe's cult. E.g. the Ace, who was really old for someone who's supposed to buy into glorious death, maybe imperators who grew cynical after realising through closer contact just how human Joe is. How do the savvier ones react to the outsiders who helped change the system?
- Furiosa is a mix of Vuvalini and War Boy. Maybe she helps the two groups understand each other better, maybe something with her being happy if Capable's combination of the Vuvalini commemorial gesture with Nux's "witness me" catches on, other rituals/habits/stories she might have imparted to War Boys or that she might now impart to the surviving Vuvalini. (I really doubt she was ever fully into the cult, but it was a cult that did its best to brainwash people, and there are those "days I don't remember" ... makes me think she wasn't always as sure of herself as she is by the events of the movie.)
- Surviving Vuvalini and War Boys, slowly picking their way to Citadel (or Gas Town/Bullet Farm for some of the Boys, probably). They're injured enough to help each other out instead of continuing to fight.
- The Vuvalini interacting with Nux on the trip back to Citadel. Jokes about him and Capable? Surprise/shock or "that's about what I expected" if he tells them about his life up 'til then? Do they interrogate him more about his reasons after he votes for going back to Citadel? Does he want to hear more about the Green Place and all its "trees"?
- Drag racing modern AU where two very different gangs start finding themselves working together and even quite liking each other (or some members, at least) just from looking for a place to race undisturbed.

Angharad/Furiosa
Something I love about this movie is that the wives are not the far-too naive ones vs. worldly wise everyone else - even though they are sheltered and in some ways overly idealistic, they get to question and challenge others as well as learning from them. I think this ship would make for a good way of exploring that - Furiosa and Angharad's exchange about Angharad's leg wound strikes me as an example of it. They're strong and tough in different ways, as well as empathetic and caring, and they could help each other and keep each other guessing. I also like that they don't get along yet, though they're allies in a dangerous situation and could find a lot to admire in each other. What would it take for more trust to grow? What are they holding back from each other and why?

Prompts:
- Ruling the Citadel together. Maybe a post-movie setting, or maybe Joe dies pre-movie and there's some politicking to do with navigating around Corpus and Rictus as potential leaders.
- Teaching each other things. Out of books, about how to play instruments, fixing vehicles, desert survival...
- Furiosa never got kidnapped. The wives escape the Citadel some other way (Miss Giddy?) and happen on the Green Place or the Vuvalini after they'd been driven to survival in the desert, and negotiate entry into the group. And eventually, Angharad wants to know how the courtship rites work.
- Issues around sex. How does Angharad deal? I can also see a Furiosa who hasn't really let herself experience sexual desire in ages, due to the culture she's in; maybe it's very strange for her to feel it again.
- I'd also be here for desperate, cathartic self-reclaiming sex that results in basically no issues at all (whether for 5k or as part of a different plot).
- Angharad lives and is recaptured by Joe, but the escapees want to rescue her. Or they only find her by the end, cue hurt/comfort? Or Angharad doesn't fall; how do they escape without the delay brought on by her death?
- One day I saw this ship get called "Fangharad" and my brain jumped to werewolf AU. I'd love it if one of them is the kind of werewolf where the transformation is an uncontrollable force taking over from outside, a curse of ravenousness, while the other is from an old and stable werewolf family, with plenty of rituals and rules, that has things on lock and only lose control if provoked somehow. Then they stumble across each other and something wild inside reaches out... Feel free to use any werewolf mythology you like, or make some up.

Getting Together

Don't include: Relentless angst, hopelessly unhappy endings, dom/sub, rape, people-eating (this goes for eating of any sapient species), fisting, addiction, zombies, focus on homophobia, spanking, extreme underage sex or romance, abuse within requested relationships, canon characters dying (except for deaths that occur in canon), serial killers, infidelity, steampunk, bloodplay, on-screen torture.

Marius Pontmercy/Courfeyrac
I love how terribly awkward Marius is and how Courfeyrac rolls with it, though with a lot of teasing. It feels like Courefyrac knows that his friend is Like That and enjoys his company anyway (when Marius isn't acting too weird to share it), and Marius fundamentally believes in Courfeyrac. Even with his surfeit of pride he's still fine with going to Courfeyrac for help.

Prompts:
- vampire Marius (an inspiration post). I like the idea of him being extra-weird and Courfeyrac being remarkably fine with that too.
- Triumphant kissing in the heat of the moment and what unfolds thereafter.
- Marius helps Courfeyrac with something political (smuggling plans to another faction, making arrangements to have illegal pamphlets printed, idk).
- Arrest or kidnapping, then a rescue and hurt/comfort.
- Pining
- Body swap
- A role-reversal where Courfeyrac is the one who needs a place to stay, and Marius's sense of honour compels him to agree immediately even though he finds the idea very awkward (and possibly his grandpa and the rest of the people at his house agree).
- Doing work as lawyers together.
- Always a different gender, either one or both of them. Maybe with crossdressing?
- Courtship. Can be an AU where this is acceptable in the canon time period, Courfeyrac doing it as kind of a joke because he knows Marius won't think he means it, modern AU, trying to teach Marius how to interact with Cosette... This involving dancing together would be a bonus.
- If making use of the Smut tag, some things I'd like: marking, furtive & hurried liaisons, omegaverse, casual nakedness, watersports. (Not necessarily all at once!)

PS: Marius/Cosette is fine too, so long as there's no infidelity - a poly configuration/open relationship between the three of them would work.

Don't include: Relentless angst, hopelessly unhappy endings, dom/sub, rape, people-eating (this goes for eating of any sapient species), fisting, zombies aside from the canon versions on Alternia, focus on homophobia, spanking, extreme underage sex or romance, canon characters dying (except for deaths that occur in canon), serial killers, steampunk, bloodplay, on-screen torture (except with Gamzee as victim, since it's kind of canon with him and he tends to shrug it off anyway), abuse as a major focus or central plot point (backstory references are fine).

Lynera & Wanshi & Bronya & Lanque & Daraya
- Cloistering! Is Bronya a non-cloistered jade, since she had a relationship with Elwurd and thought they could try and get assigned to the same ship? Or are all of them? How does it affect Lynera's crush? What do the others think about Daraya's despair about it? What's it mean when they get into space?
- the looming threat of execution for anything they do wrong with the wigglers. Does anyone have doubts about Bronya's plan to save the weaker ones? Are there ever inspections or jades from elsewhere who might disrupt their system? I'd love something about Daraya with the "cullable" wigglers; the plan might help her feel more positive sometimes.
- More of Wanshi realising how vast the difference is between the caverns and the outside world. Which direction would she go in regarding how she reacts to it, out of the examples she has and her own inclinations?
- jadeblood lore. Stories of the Dolorosa, finding things painted on the cave walls that have nothing to do with the Signless's crew, communication with the mother grub, rainbow drinker myths...
- suddenly everyone's transported to Earth C. Or they learn about Earth C and fight for a way to get there. Time shenanigans help a copy of Sgrub to make its way to them? Friendsim PC busts out of Scratch's place after finishing Homestuck and shares the news?
- feel free to ship Bronya, Lanque, and Lynera any which way with each other. Daraya can come too (eeyyy), but no romances with Wanshi, not even ash/pale. Lanque's route just had gloriously messy vibes with those three that I found highly exploitable. Pale orgy as the poetry proves ever more revealing? Pale and red in a scandalously smeared encounter? Intense But Nameless Feelings? Bronya/Lanque goes caliginous?
- Rescuing the Friendsim PC from Doc Scratch. Or meeting them again somehow, and building relationships with them free from the FRIENDSHIP compulsion.

PS: so, Lanque, kind of tough to portray - feel free to go with anything. I'd love to know how the flower crown side deals with the contentious issues (being cloistered, chafing against Bronya's iron fists and also lists), or to have the party hard side most of the time, or have the party hard side and the flower crown side reconciled.

Gamzee
- Delving into the events of the retcon timeline, with no influence from the Game Over timeline. I'm intrigued by his diminishing presence leading up to how his time as fridge clown was driven by apathy and "Vriska said so" instead of any idea that he was prone to evil and deserved punishment. I'd love something trippy where he keeps sliding out of notice for whatever reason (or for no reason, it's increasingly weird isolation just cuz). Otherwise, what's he doing with his time? Vriska took over his shady dealings. Did they ever compromise and team up? Is he building the clown afterlife that Meenah and (Vriska) possibly stumbled upon and Karako and Friendsim PC ascended to? Going through difficulties with getting the cherubs set up? WHAT.
- religion stuff: Worshipping Caliborn. Being a god (along with the other trolls) in the B1 universe, or maybe a fantasy AU; what does a god of rage do, who would worship him? A version of the Mirthful Messiahs cult that also involves worshipping Calliope. Or just Gamzee worshipping Calliope instead. Being a worshipper of the Signless (and/or) Sufferer. Being in a cult in a humanstuck AU (in which case I'd prefer it to be a story about breaking out of the cult). Gamzee is a demon; I'm fine with an evil or with a strangely affable one.
- How Gamzee met and/or became friends with the other universe A2 trolls. I'm curious about how these online friendships might have worked, especially with Gamzee's caste being practically a threat in and of itself for a number of his friends, and his attitude and addiction making him easy to dismiss.
- So, all that mind-control. What was done under Lil Cal's control, what was purely Gamzee, and what was a mix? Or exploring more of what tasks Aranea had for him as her puppet. I doubt most people in the Lord English amalgamation have much control, so mind-control-ish recovery set after he explodes into component people would be good; as would the wacky body horror of half-a-Gamzee somehow functioning as alive, but do feel free to find him his other half.
- If you want to do relationships, I'd be into seeing Gamzee with: /Bro (the 'mindfucked by Lil Cal' club); & or / Caliborn (honkfriendship! and perhaps ... something else); /Dad (the ultimate balm for daddy issues? could be); & or ♠ Davepetasprite^2 (unpredictable powerhouses who might or might not have lingering grudges); & or / GCatavrosprite (what would they think of each other after everything?); & lusus (closure would be wonderful whether good or bad or heartbreaking, especially with the sprite version of his lusus); ♥-♠ Sollux (whose sudden crush^2 before the Shooshpap Showdown haunts me). /Karkat in the background is great, but I've read a good bit of longer fic featuring that ship already, so I'd prefer not to have it as the main one.

Dave/Dirk
- prince & knight AU. Are they from different kingdoms (e.g. Troll and Consort) or the same one (e.g. Derse)? How did Dave dodge princehood so thoroughly as to simply be known as a knight, as opposed to his brother? (Actually, an unrelated AU is also fine.) What fairy tales/fantasy movies and books can they parody?
- life on Earth C: finding futures separate from both their alternate selves' futures, rapping together, having all kinds of new experiences they wouldn't have had before, trying to start new fashion and/or storytelling trends for their kingdoms/the whole planet.
- defeating Caliborn/Lord English by doing scandalously tenderrrrr things in front of him and then also liking it too much. Angst or humour, I am here for it. ...bonus points for their friends seeing this go down. And possibly Lil Hal commentary after the Lord English amalgamation explodes in distress and lust. I'm down with them being more troll pale than human shipping for this one; that would still make their heads explode in an entertaining way.
- Pre-Scratch Dave and Post-Scratch Dirk somehow managing to get in touch with each other pre-Game. They don't have to know the other is actually their bro (and AI bro too, most likely), but maybe one does or figures it out? Mostly I would like at least one shocked and deeply emotional reaction to the reveal. If there were extant crushes, does the reveal make them worse or better?
- AU where they're both in the rap artist scene. Collaborating, battling against each other, more focused on beef with other HS rappers until suddenly they can't ignore each other? Together already, or navigating homophobia in that environment and nervous about making moves?

PS: For the Earth C setting, Dave/Dirk/Karkat is fine too, or background Dave/Karkat.

Karako
- A few sweeps down the line in a No-Sgrub AU (or at least before death by meteors or Vast Glub, or maybe even on Earth C). Does he speak in honks or has his vocab expanded? Is he still under-developed according to an average troll of his age, and if so how does he deal with it in everday interactions? I feel like he has a Lost Boy vibe as a kid, so maybe there's a new literary allusion later on, or a different part of the Peter/Pupa Pan story.
- Karako's adventures in death with the Friendsim PC. I am deeply fond of how this is labelled the best end, and I would love something melancholy and sweet and happy and strange about what happens next. Exploring DIY heaven, peeking into DIY hell, wandering into a different universe or other religions' heavens, hurt/comfort, meeting other dead Homestuck characters?
- Growing up under Bronya's care. I'd like xenosocial things going on: maybe kid Bronya treating Karako (and the other comparatively weak wigglers) as close to how a lusus would treat them as she can, or Karako being instinctively afraid of a troll custodian. What about other jades? Bet Lynera gave him knife-training at least.
- Kiddo team-up: Karako and any of Wanshi, Amisia, and/or the Soleils, working together. Maybe they help rescue Friendsim PC? Accidentally destroy and then repair the fourth wall?
- Karako's take on Mirthful Messiahs stuff. He actually went to Clownhalla! Was it faith, or Doc Scratch or Gamzee getting up to things behind the scenes? How would it be for him to meet other cultists (canon or otherwise), and did any fellow lusus-less wigglers ever show interest, even if they weren't purple?
- Rescuing the Friendsim PC from Doc Scratch. Or just meeting them again somehow, and building a relationship with them free from the FRIENDSHIP compulsion.

Don't include: Relentless angst, hopelessly unhappy endings, dom/sub, rape, on-screen people-eating (this goes for eating of any sapient species), fisting, addiction, non-canon zombies, homophobia, spanking, extreme underage sex or romance, abuse within requested relationship, canon characters dying (except for deaths that occur in canon), serial killers, infidelity, steampunk, bloodplay, more than canon levels of torture (like Philip tied to the ship's mast).

Philip/Syrena
They're so intense and strange, absorbed in and instantly understanding of each other, even as they have few real reasons to trust each other. That kind of bizarritude is straight up my alley. I'd love more of an exploration of what they could do together, whether canon divergence, post-movie, or AU.

Prompts:
- Something going into their interaction during the movie and how they felt about each other, and especially that "She has a name! (I'm actually making this up)" stunt. It's great to me that they both think this is an OK thing. And there's room for something about the magic in names there.
- Ridiculous headcanon time: when I first watched the movie Philip struck me as so weird and intense that I decided he was inhuman too, and settled on his being a vampire who found faith with such strength that it burned the evil right out of him. He keeps getting sliced up and then goes who cares! I need to run through the jungle! Anything based on that would satisfy an urge. And there's one bit where he says he might lose faith if Syrena dies, which would also be interesting in this scenario.
- Why did Syrena help Philip in the first place? It's the opposite of how the other mermaids operated (but I'd prefer if she's not ostracised for being that way, even if they might think she's weird). I'd also be into something that goes into what's up with the mermaids in general. Why the predation against humans, why stay in that one area? Or do they hunt other things, go to other places until called?
- modern AU, but with magic coming back into the world, as opposed to how in canon timeline it's fading out. Is Syrena awakening from an older time or does she find herself as a completely new entity? Does Philip still believe strongly in religion, or in something else? Do they meet via piracy shenanigans or a different series of events?
- The two of them coming up against some other magic thing that POTC hasn't explored yet, possibly via an encounter with Jack/Angelica/Barbossa/Elizabeth/Will/etc. Or, something that the movies haven't explored much, like, I'd prefer no kraken because it was around quite a bit, but more presence from gods would be fine since the Aztec ones were background and we mostly saw Tia Dalma as a human witch.
- If making use of the Smut tag, some things I'd like: marking, ritual sex, scent kink, furtive & hurried liaisons, bondage, xeno. (Not necessarily all at once!)

Gaila/Nyota Uhura
Their personalities seem like they could bounce off each other and there is still a bit of understandable friction in ST2009, but I'd also like to see more of how they got to know each other better in the first place, and the ways in which they get along and eventually mean a lot to each other; buddyshipping is one of my weaknesses. I love stuff with xeno oddities and cultural exchange.

PS: Please ignore the deleted scenes with Gaila, as I've never watched them. I'm also fine with non-monogamy here (especially if it's part of Orion culture), so long as it's in the background and Gaila and Uhura are both cool with it.

Prompts:
- Making use of the backstory mentioned in interviews for Gaila, where she escaped from slavery. Maybe bounty hunters come after her. Or an AU where Uhura's taken by slavers, she and Gaila bond, and they escape together.
- Instead of joining Starfleet, Gaila becomes a smuggler or something else not terribly legal. One day she meets this uptight Starfleet officer, and then ... LOVE. And/or banging.
- pining bonanza at Starfleet Academy, from either one. Or both!
- meeting the family. Either family. Both? It could be a fun way to get even more culture clash going.
- band AU. Whether megastars or amateurs who have day jobs. Getting back together after a spectacular crash-and-burn? First tour? I'd also love Gaila as a bodyguard for singer/band member Uhura, since Orions are supposed to be strong.
- Working together on something at the Academy. A project, solving a mystery, fixing some kind of malfunction?
- Bodyswap, and suddenly the xeno is coming from inside the house.

Jim Kirk & Nyota Uhura
I would love something much like what happened in canon, but focused on the developing friendship. Anything more or less following the pattern of Kirk bugging Uhura, always a little hung up on knowing her name, Uhura being willing to help him out a tiny bit (like being part of his "crew" during the Kobayashi Maru test), until eventually getting to be on decent footing together. This can totally be an AU though. And in canonverse, what was the process like of learning to work together with more professionalism at the same time they've grown closer as friends? Or I would also love an AU where they don't hit it off that poorly in the first place, but launch right into an odd-couple friendship and team up to graduate/save Starfleet/take diplomatic action/etc.

Prompts:
- deep in the mists of time and ST2009 tidbits I remember reading about Jim joining an Academy club (choir, xenolinguistics? he became treasurer? But feel free to make up anything) to bug Uhura. So, club adventures.
- A temporary soulbond (I can hear your thoughts/feel your pain/sense your emotions/can't move more than a few metres away from you/etc.). Especially if their friends make fun of them for it.
- band AU. Whether megastars or amateurs who have day jobs. Endless arguments about what genre to go for? Divisions between artistic integrity and bullshitting the music industry? One having to lure the other into joining?
- finding ways to relax together off-duty, but still on the Enterprise. Gossip, new shipboard club adventures, games, doing more work...
- Missions together. Just one, where everything goes wrong and they have to pull together to fix things? Several, and how their teamwork dynamic changes over time? Deciding to work together on one they're not supposed to get in on but both feel is necessary?
- Werewolf AU where (awkward) pack bonding has to happen.

Don't include: Relentless angst, hopelessly unhappy endings, dom/sub, rape, people-eating (this goes for eating of any sapient species) aside from backgroung mentions, fisting, addiction, zombies, spanking, extreme underage sex or romance, canon characters dying (except for deaths that occur in canon), serial killers, infidelity, steampunk, bloodplay, on-screen torture.

Please ignore Season 3 for these requests. And in general, I like the various relationships (and potential new relationships) between the characters in this show, so feel free to bring the rest of the cast in as needed.

Billy Hargrove & Max Mayfield
This is such a volatile relationship that I want anything where it progresses. Where to, that's wide open: increased mutual loathing, actual sibling bonding from living in their shitty situation, reluctant teammates if the Upside Down makes itself felt again, something like friends, never having anything to do with each other again, getting along reasonably once they don't live together... As long as Max ends up OK, any of the possibilities work for me. Billy being OK too would be a bonus, but since he's contributing the vast majority of the problems in this relationship, if the story doesn't go that way then that works too.

Prompts:
- After s2, Billy treating Max as being as likely to explode on an everyday basis as his dad, which actually confuses her. For the intimidation to work to this extent is actually pretty weird. In this scenario, I'd prefer Max doesn't know that Billy's being abused, and sees Neil only being strict.
- fighting monsters together. I'd prefer something other than demodogs, although other canon monsters are fine. Max impresses Billy by knowing what's up? Billy thinking he's got to do it all on his own until stumbling on Max and the others? Surprising protective impulses?
- there is a small "Killing Neil Hargrove" fic subgenre and uh. That could be a bonding activity. Especially if he's got violent with Max and/or Susan.
- AU where they just don't start off as badly with each other, though their living situation is still tense regarding Neil. Billy was at a boarding school and never got a chance to be shitty to Max? Creature AU where being different species makes things work out differently? Accidental soul bond (temporary please)?
- Future fic. What are they doing, where do they live, and how do they interact? Is there still anything supernatural about?

Jonathan Byers/Billy Hargrove/Steve Harrington/Nancy Wheeler
Now here we are in the land of What If They All Liked Each Other self-indulgence, I like it here. They don't all have to be together; they can be swingers or a friendly polycule or rolling around in bed the once because of being drunk or sex pollen or whatever. But I would like if they at least liked each other at the conclusion of the story. To varying degrees they could bond over family issues, music, cars, wanting to break out of the roles imposed on them by society in general and Hawkins in particular, preferred methods of getting fucked up, the uses and misuses of violence, getting your hair just right...

Prompts:
- Upside Down-induced bonding. Maybe with temporary soulbonds (I can hear your thoughts/share your pain/sense your emotions/can't move more than a few metres away from you/etc.), or some/all of them fall in there, or new monsters come and they all have to deal with it.
- omegaverse, any configuration of alphas/betas/omegas. A harem? Three of them have formed the societal ideal of a workable a/b/o triad but then they want to add another person anyway? I don't have an opinion on who is what.
- post-apocalypse bonding/AU. Societal rules wobble and suddenly it feels like a great idea to have a foursome, to take the stress off in-between scrounging for food, taking care of all these kids, and trying to find survivors. Or maybe this is the rebuilding-after-the-disaster phase, and the rules are shaken up enough that everyone's pretty OK with these four having their arrangement, times sure have changed.
- band AU. Whether megastars or kids sitting around in someone's garage. Getting back together after a spectacular crash-and-burn? Endless arguments about what genre to go for? Divisions between artistic integrity and bullshitting the music industry? Some are in the band, some are managers/roadies/groupies/etc.? Maybe music soothes the savage beast and that's how they get rid of Upside Down creatures, or something else supernatural (fairies? Traditionally they like kidnapping musicians and children.).

Canon-Style Plot

Don't include: Relentless angst, hopelessly unhappy endings, dom/sub, rape, fisting, addiction, non-canon zombies, homophobia, spanking, extreme underage sex or romance, canon characters dying, serial killers, infidelity, steampunk, bloodplay. No people-eating (this goes for eating of any sapient species) for POTC/P&P, but it's fine for MCU/Venom.

Bucky Barnes (MCU)/Venom symbiote (Venom 2018)
HYDRA puts the Venom symbiote in the Winter Soldier, and it turns out that This Is A Mistake. A bizarre but loving relationship ensues. Possibly also Venom!Bucky having HYDRA for a big gory lunch as a method of escape, which I am totally down for. But once they're out of imprisonment, I'd prefer minimal people-eating, even of bad guys - I don't see Bucky as being about that life once he has more of his personality sorted out.

PS: I'm not fussed about symbiote pronouns, go with what works for you. Except I do prefer "they" and "we" when the symbiote + host do the full combined form, with the black skin, white eyes etc., but otherwise I'm easy.

Prompts:
- Bucky doesn't want to listen to this little voice but he can feel it likes him, and it's so good to be liked.
- Discovering more of Earth together. Venom did start thinking it was beautiful, after all, and Bucky needs to get to seeing the nicer sides of life.
- Symbiote + metal arm interaction. Idk what, this just appeals to my lizard hindbrain. If it's made out of vibranium, maybe there's some extra-special outer space thing Venom could accomplish with it?
- Bucky isn't the kind of loser Venom resonates with, but it finds itself growing suprisingly fond of the heroic tendencies and the feeling Bucky really needs it. I'd like it if the symbiosis is not as "perfect host" as with Eddie in the movie, but still works well for them.
- Trouble finding food at a fast enough pace to keep the symbiote OK, body horror ensues as they test the line of what the super soldier serum can heal.
- How other characters in the MCU react to the symbiote situation. Wakandans, Steve, the rest of Team Cap, Bruce (thinking it's like Hulk)... Maybe Asgardians or Kree Starforce are hunting Venom and/or other symbiotes.
- Venom characters reacting to Bucky. Did Dr Skirth discover the Winter Soldier programme and try to save him? (I'd love it if she also got saved.) Is the symbiote with Bucky accidentally, and Eddie is just about ready to admit he'd love it back, especially since uuhh yeah he's travelled halfway across the world to do so? Is Carlton Drake trying to outmaneuver HYDRA, and growing more benevolently evil as he does so and Venom!Bucky has to do something about it?
- The fine lines between Bucky resenting his body being out of his control and loving the freedom Venom allows him in general.

James Norrington (Pirates of the Caribbean)/Elizabeth Bennett (Pride & Prejudice)
They could offer each other a lot; spirit and adventure as well as affection and support, enough respectability (depending on the timeline for Norrington) but enough freedom too. Preferably the relationship would not be based on the Kiera Knightley connection regarding P&P 2005 - please have the Elizabeths looking different. And feel free to fudge canon and historical details to make it work easier.

Prompts:
- Courtship, with tons of teasing. Possibly other people think they're being harsh to each other, even, but they're having fun.
- Norrington being the hot new rich guy in the area instead of Bingley, and the story unfolding differently from there (although some of that classic pining and repression would be great).
- Elizabeth (and some/all of her family?) goes to the Caribbean for whatever reason, and (pre-Commodore) Norrington finds himself attracted to her. I could actually see it happening through the Elizabeths become friends; I think they could get along.
- Norrington is down on his luck and ends up in business with Wickham, but on learning more about the guy decides to put a stop to that, the more so as the Bennets get involved. Bittersweet ending where Norrington doesn't get enough money to be able to provide in a marriage, or does he get far enough ahead in a defensible enough way for a happily ever after?
- Anything with supernatural elements they have to fight/appease/find.
- I love that moment where they get to a first-name basis in these kinds of canons. Even if it's only after marriage. But having it slip out inappropriately during some scene of high emotion is good too.
- Pirate Norrington "kidnapping" Elizabeth. It's probably an accident or the best of some bad choices, but it could still make for a fraught experience for Elizabeth and a tough time for Norrington to convince her he meant no harm.
